Well, I couldn't believe my eyes. The first time I saw it, I was certain the spider just happened to be on a damaged strawberry. But, today, I found TWO spiders devouring a ripening berry. I have them covered so no birds or FOUR-leggers can get them.
Just how do I keep the spiders away? I don't want to use pesticides...

Strawberry spiders
I bet they weren't spiders then. A lot of insects mimick the spider look. The only thing I can think of would be preying mantis, lace wings and other predatory animals.
They look exactly like small daddy long legs spiders. Definitely NOT praying mantis. I'll try to get a pic, though I would rather not find any tomorrow...
