Unexpected pond.....

Osage City, KS(Zone 5b)

Mother Nature is letting me take a look at what a pond would look like in my front yard.... Isn't that nice of her...... I've enjoyed this view for the past week now ........ from inside because it's been raining everday for the last week..... LOL

VS,

I feel for you. Although drainage is much better in my area, with the exception of today, we had pretty constant rain for 2 weeks.
The blooms on many of the plants became weak from all the water and either drooped or fell off before they finished opening.
The blooms on the daylilies have been very weak in their coloring.

But Yay!!!! Today it was sunny most of the day, giving the plants time to dry up a bit and us, time to work in the garden.

I hope your pond dries up soon. Ponds are great, but only those you intend to have.

Ooohhh. Um, it's lovely? Weather is so creepy this year! I got so much water in my driveway that some empty flower pots started to float away. Scared one of my dogs half to death. Hope your yard drains soon!

LOL sylvi74..... I've had a few things floating this year too.......

Pocahontas, TN(Zone 7b)

sylvi74, I could just see that happening here, floating flower pots would scare the fire out of all of them. With the exception of Big Red he's psychotic, strange things set him OFF!!! He'd be trying to kill 'them' flower pots. ROTFLOL

VS, you have my sympathy entirely! This has been the worst spring ever. All year people up here look forward to warm, sunny weather and we're still waiting this year! What is going on with this wacky weather all over the country?
