Hi maphil:

What do you have planted in your garden?

Mifflin, PA

Delecie-I have 2 banana trees, one is dwarf, the other I am not sure, I picked it up at home depot. I have dark foliage canna lilies, elephant ears, castor beans, miniture palm tree, angel trumpets, calidiums, coleus.

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Looking really good. I can't wait to see this in another couple of months. It will be so full and tropical looking then, even more than now.

Homestead, FL(Zone 10b)

You have a nice selection of plants. I agree with Brugie, it's going to look really good and lush in a few months. I'll be waiting for new photographs. :-)

Vancleave, MS(Zone 8b)

sounds like it will be beautiful when everything gets big and full

Norwalk, IA(Zone 5b)

I sometimes use other annuals too for splashes of color, impatiens, marigolds(dwarf kind) vinca etc.I plant them in among the larger plants......make people look for them..its fun that way!! I also plant them at the borders...

Eclipse - that looks great. I wish I could plan like that. What is to the left of the Cannas in that photo? the ones with the large serrated green leaves. Also, what is the reddish leaved plant behind the cannas? Thanks

Norwalk, IA(Zone 5b)

the red leafed plant is castor bean "Red Spire" and the green serrated plant is a brugmansia seedling. :-)
