Those are some kids that were playing. This is a very impressive tree and root system. If you ever get to San Diego check it out. It's realy that big. Do any Ficus grow in New Orleans?

River Ridge, LA(Zone 9b)

I've never seen any trees like this before in new orleans, but from the info given, i suppose they would grow here. City and Audubon parks have a lot of old trees... maybe i'll go hunting. how old do you think that tree is?

San Diego, CA(Zone 11)

This tree is located in Balboa Park , the same area that the San Diego zoo is. I belive that they developed this area in 1900-1905. That is possibly about the time they planted it, so maby 100 years ago. This is all just a guess. I am going to San Diego this weekend so I'll try and find out more. There is a even larger Morton Bay fig in Santa Barbra that every one should see. I have include a picture of another Morton Bay fig very close to the other one. This one has developed aerial roots that nearly reach the ground.
