Hey mine started blooming too! But I think the wind is messing it up a bit. It is kicking up some now. Gusting up to about 45-50 mph.

beautiful Janet. I had one bloom last year in one of my pots and have no idea where it came from lol

Aren't those cool? I hope I didn't damage mine by transplanting recently.

Thanks, everyone, glad I got that pic before the wind and rain started, 'cause I am sure it doesn't look that great right now. LOL!!

I have one that another DG'er sent me a little over a year ago. This is the second time it has bloomed and it is almost as big as a canteloupe.

Very pretty, Janet! Curious what is the var. plant behind it???

Donna, the one on the right is variegated hydrangea, and to the left is a kong coleus.
Thanks everyone!! I was so excited I just had to post a pic!!

Janet, very interesting bulb. Is it like a suprise lily-the leaves come after flowering?

Ocean Springs, MS(Zone 8b)

Barbara,
Thanks!!! That is correct, it puts out the bloom before the foliage, so if you see foliage, it is not going to bloom. :(
I have also been told that since it has bloomed, it should make a baby this year!!!
Yeah!!!!
