Potted at last.

Marysville, WA(Zone 7a)

Today was the day. Picked up another bale of potting mix and a stack of #5 pots and put 20 of those pretty little brugs out of their 2 1/2 " homes and into new digs. That sure takes a lot of material, but they will be happier now. With 25 by the fence, 4 on the porch,2 in the sunroom,37 under the eave and 4 in the ground I think it could be said I've contracted the dreaded Brug Fever, Where they will go when they grow up I don't know, but that's another day.All this time I thought I was a poppy addict, but it seems I was really a 'closet brugaholic'. See what you people have done to me!!! LOL

Judy, could it be called 'a divine illness' ?

(Mary) Poway, CA(Zone 10a)

Gulp!!! Did I count right ... is that really a total of 72 brugs? Whew! Let me do some research: there ought to be a pill to help that illness. LOL Hope my husband doesn't see this thread. He'll commit me now before I have a chance to get that addicted. Sadly, it could happen. (The addiction, not the commitment) LOL

They look great. Do you believe how much dirt they eat up? Dirt is my biggest expense.

What is the purple tree there, Balvenie? Nosy people want to know.

Very good, balvenie, still you have a big garden, you should see my seedlings ! I have so many and a little garden in front of my building ! My brugs still haven't popped out, I think because it hasn't been warm enough.

I think you can safely say, balvenie, that you have come out of the closet! Sounds like you have a wonderful collection!

As enjoyable as it is to see little seeds grow into huge plants, the anticipation of seeing what a hybrid will throw is perhaps the greatest thrill of horticulture. I'm really anxious to see what these crosses will bear.

Kell, the 'tree' in the background is a rose, Veilchenblau. It puts on a beautiful display.

Adina, can we see pictures of your garden?

Oops! time to go water.

Balotesti, Romania(Zone 5a)

Balvenie, I hope I'll be able to show you some pictures of my garden soon !
I've seeded alot and many of them have popped out. I've just planted some dahlias and they grow very well. The petunias are ready to bloom and the little daisies are big enough to be replanted.

Judy, they seem to be happy being outdoors in the weather. They're growing nicely.

Balvenie, I had to laugh when I saw this thread. I am in the same boat. I have about 50 seedlings growing besides my cuttings . I keep looking at all the gallon pots trying to figure out
where I am going to put them when they grow up. But that anticipation of seeing their blooms makes all the expense worth it too me.

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

That rose is so pretty. So floriferous and such a color. THANKS

Me too Patricia. I am in big trouble here. I just planted over 100 in the ground and am moving up another hundred to gallon pots. I am in such trouble. Such big trouble. I hope in such big pink trouble. LOL

Marysville, WA(Zone 7a)

Kell, you are absolutely amazing! May the pink bird of paradise nest in your pink forest of delight and raise a plenitude of perfectly precious pretty pink posies.
