Can you ID this one. Bloom looks like it is going to open like on A.Radicans in other thread but has longer narrow thick waxy/glossy leaves. Not sure if it will open fully before this Tropical Storms hits us on Saturday. Will take pics tomorrow to and Sat. if possible if you can't ID from these pics

some sort of Columnea, but I can't say what kind. Even when the blooms open it would be difficult for me as there are so many hybrids.

A pic of one of my columnea buds http://www.flickr.com/photos/ki/3930467/in/set-99057/

Some have fuzzy leaves, others glossy leaves.... some are really hanging/trailing, whereas others are more upright......

Edited to say: actually it could also be an Aeschynanthus. I just realized I don't grow any of the ones that look similar so I don't know what the buds look like. But for the most part Columnea flowers are pretty distinctive, with the upper part of the flower large and wide, two side "fins" and an open jaw. I think they look like Jaws. Eg of a common columnea flower shape here http://www.gesneriads.ca/colum019.htm

so is my Aeschynanthus Radican mis labeled?? I bought it with the name. It blooms like what you showed of your columea. The A. Radicans leaves are wide, thin, and fuzzy. See other thread here
