I am going to spend the day playing with my presents. Hubby got me a mini tiller for between plants and all the little jobs I cannot get my kick-butt rear tine in to do LOL, and top soil, peat moss and mulch. Now is that a gift or what?? They kids got up and made us a huge breakfast too.
I am gonna eat cheesecake and let you guys gain the weight! LOL

I already have a Toro 6HP rear tine. I had to go get it in April when I was tilling to lay sod and my good old trusty Craftsman bit the dust. Don't tell anyone but I think I prefer the old front tine.
After looking at the little ones and using my neighbors, I just sent hubby to Lowe's for a Bolen. I used my neighbors and it was pretty nice. They only till down 5 inches but that is good for between plants and for breaking through the clay layer so I can add in ammendments. You can take off the outside tines and just use the center ones which make it great tight spaces. It is easy enough to pick up and lift over a fence, carry up a rock walk, etc. To make it even better, they are just under $200. The honda ones are $349 and I don't think the Mantis are much less.

I think First Day is gonna bust open for me here in a bit, if not today then tomorrow. I have tendrils everywhere and they have slinked out and I can see the insides. Come on FD!! I think having the greenhouse has really made a difference. Now if the other 20 will bloom...including one of Susie's...I'd be thrilled!

Thank you all for the birthday wishes! I ended up working outside until after 7, took a swim then came in and dialed up some pizza for dinner. After that, I ate the worst cheesecake I ever had in my life but the kids made it, so you know it was wonderful! LOL
Lookie what the mailman brought me!! Mystic sent me a big box full of stuff from her store! That is a HUGE bowl (sitting on 2x4s) her pretties filled it! A few of them are not in the pic cuz I couldn't wait to plant them. LOL

Hey JoAnn! This is the first time I have had brugs bloom this early. I swear it is because of the greenhouse. I threw them all out there in March. They spent the winter in my garage, completely neglected. Frosty has been blooming for a couple of weeks and First Day opened up last night after I went to sleep. LOL I hope the others get in a hurry. I have 3 that have NEVER bloomed, in like 3 years and they were from cuttings. I am about done with them!
