Coneflower 'Sunset'
Echinacea

Note variety in petals. some open completely and are deep coral, others remain "rolled" such that the back side is exposed and are more pink.

That's gorgeous. I love echinaceas and orange is my favorite color.

I noticed the same thing on mine. I've been waiting for three days for all the petals to uncurl so I could take a picture, but now I think maybe they're not all going to unroll ?

Difficult to say, as there's just been the one flower so far.

I'm in love with the color. Orange-strawberry sherbet. Would look smashing next to something bright purple.

Hi BeginnerLucky, I know exactly what you mean (waiting for it to open all the way). I waited forever for that 1st flower to open; eventually when there were several blooms all in various stages of semi-open, I began to realize that this IS open. Then I went back and looked at the vendor photos again - which don't show this characteristic. On my plant each flower is unique as to the % of petals that open fully.

Actually, mine is planted in what I call my purple section. The flowers there are primarily various shades of purple/lavendar with some yellows and light oranges for accent. This color does work well there.
