H. thomsonii

Knoxville, TN

I just found this bloom while misting. I was too excited to pull out the tri-pod. This plant came from Hanne a few moons ago.

Ok Mel, I've had enough! Stop posting pictures of your hoya blooms. That is really pretty, how is the smell?

OK Awanda, I told all the Hoyas to stop blooming! NOT!!!

Yes, yes yes....it has a strong fragrance...like a really classy perfume.... It is really rich.
Too bad we don't have "smell a vision." :)

Thanks Cindy. Keep an eye out. The bloom totally surprised me. It was hiding under the pot.

Nice Mel,
Mine is a slow grower. I'm not holding any hopes for a bloom in the near future but I'm Impressed with all your blooms.

It must be my old nose...but so far H. thomsonii smells to me like old garbage...I am hoping it will change!! So far the plant is 2' long and smelling the same! I had hoped so much for the sweet fragrance I have heard about...OH well...

How typical of a shy hoya, to hide its lovely blooms! Very pretty Mel.

Hey Jaimee...I would be rich if my garbage smelled like this plant!! I love the fragrance. The leaves are almost as lovely. It is a great all around Hoya to add to your list!
