A couple of weeks ago I picked up some horrid avocado green garden gazing balls for $1.50 each. (one was an equally horrid pea-green)
I've always wanted to try to mosaic something and I thought these would be perfect.
Horror upon horror, I then found that buying mosaic tiles from a craft store is more expensive than buying the already mosaic adorned globes.
On to plan B -
Upon further consideration, I felt it was probably just as financially irresponsible to drive thrift store to thrift store looking for odd dinner plates I could break to create the masterpiece I had in mind.
I have convinced myself that empty wine bottles, which are a less offensive shade of green and possibly could qualify as emerald green, would make a lovely mosaic.
I also thought that it may not be overly disco looking if I used white grout in-between the emerald pieces.
I nearly bought a tiny bottle of mosaic glue from the craft store when I had a lucid moment and realised that said tiny bottle of $5.00 glue looked a great deal like Elmer's White Glue. After reading the label which stated only for indoor use my suspicions were confirmed.
Which leads to my question.
What glue should I use?
It needs to dry clear, adhere glass to ceramic, and be weather proof.
Any suggestions?
