So Blue...

Thought all might like to see a pic of my blue hibiscus...

Looks like Blue Satin...mine has a bud on it, should bloom in the next few days. I can't get the darn plant to grow any taller, though.

I got two from Bluestone last year, they hardly grew at all last year.. but this year they took off!! This spring, they had about 23 blooms all at once and I didn't get to see it, but my Dad did!!!

I just received 2 from Bluestone and they have a couple of buds on them. I'm waiting to see how different they are from my blue bird.

I got Blue Satin and Pink Satin from Bluestone, 2 years ago. While they both bloomed in previous summers, this is the first year that they are showing significant growth. Perhaps, "first year sleep, 2nd year creep, 3rd year leap" is true with these.

Wow. All the blues we've seen locally have very dark purple blooms. I didn't know a lighter blue existed. So pretty!

I am growing some from seed and they look very nice but still just babies and you know they say, seeds don't bloom true to the parent. I will be waiting for quite some time before I ever see the blooms on them.

I just noticed buds on my blue satin today, I am soooo excited. I feel like a kid at Christmas, staring at the presents, drooling to see what's inside! Will post pics when they burst open.
