Orange Esperanza (Tecoma x)

Houston, TX(Zone 9b)

Here's a pic of my orange flowered Tecoma. It's tagged as Tecoma 'Esperanza Orange', but I don't believe there is actually a hybrid or cultivar by that name (or not that I've found anywhere). I love orange flowers and this is right up my alley! It's only a small plant (just potted up from a gallon pot), but it's been blooming for about a month straight now.

Beautiful bright flowers! These should be good to attract hummers.

Carter,
I bought a Tecoma from YuccaDo Nursery in Homestead that had the word Sunset in it. I can't remember the exact name. Maybe the nursery would be able to tell you the name.

Carter that is to die for! More than the color, I'm impressed with its being so unusual.

Changing the subject, the other day I drove by somebody's garden that had yellow experanza planted next to blue plumbago and next to it dwarf pink oleander. All the bushes where the same size and growing into the next; looked like a rainbow. Just gorgeous. Didn't have my camera w/ me but perhaps y'all get the picture.
