Greetings from upstate NY, fingerlakes area

I know I'm going to enjoy chating with you. And learning from you. I've gardened for a couple of decades and have several types of gardens. My husband is the veggie gardener, and I go for the flowers. Presently we have shade gardens, sunny gardens, woodland garden, a lily garden and some water gardens. We live in a rural area on a dirt road. Every week we buy more perennials from a lady at the farmers market. Today we got some plants for the big pond--a couple hardy water lilies, some papyrus grass. and somw water lettuce. And I got some "fill in annuals", which I'll have to plant tomorrow due to the t-storms that have rolled by today. :o)

I drive through your fingerlakes area of New York on my way to visit my sister in Cooperstown several times a year. A beautiful area you have to garden in, that's for sure!

Needless to say I'm already enjoying it! I check in early AM and usually sometime in the evening. Last night we spread a load of mulch. And planted some sunny annuals. We also worked on a new small shady garden leading into our deck. Again thanks for the welcome!
