Bated Breath

I don't know about y'all, but when there is an epi blooming....I'm sitting down with a diet coke and watching! lol (I am new enough that mine bloom one at a time).
I made this collage for anyone who wants to see what it's like to watch an epi bloom. Maybe we can get even more addicts if they see how great it is!!

These pics are from the first bloom I ever had, around last fall. It's on a cutting I got from a lovely lady on dg.

This flower really is beautiful at every stage of it's life. From when it emerges from the leaf to when it dies and dries up...simply gorgeous. Hope you enjoy! Susanne

I had some difficulty resizing so many pictures and then making the whole thing small enough to fit on here...so I hope it's not too slow to load or too poor in quality!

Isn't it fun to watch them open? I did a sequential night-watch series of photos of my Queen of the Night opening, posted on the link below. If you start with the first photo with my name, you can view them all in a row.

I wasn't "hooked" even after my first red one opened, but then last year Gourd posted a salmon-colored one, with other posts of other colors following, and I was a gonner.

Well thanks yall! Ursula and darius both have beautiful pictures of the same thing, which I didn't find until AFTER I did it. I just can't get enough.

Yeah, but wouldn't you want pictures of your OWN plant opening anyway? I sure would!!
