More lilacs

We have 2 colours here. One is kind of a fuschia and then this one which has the darker pink buds, opening up to a pale pink. Wish I could capture their true beauty... Joan

I wish I could capture your beauties smell......my early ones had their buds zapped by frost. :(

Gorgeous Joan. I love Lilacs, their beauty and their scent. But at the end of their blooming season here about 3 weeks ago, I ended up having to cut mega branches with the flowers 'cause they started dropping the spent flowers into my vegetable garden and my Rose Garden, making quite a mess. ...sigh, such is life, I guess.

Oh Ingrid what a wonderful find! Ü

When I took that shot there were a few of them dancing together in between the branches. Reminded me of when we were in Victoria at the RU seeing the butterflies in that place we visited.

Beautiful shot, Ingrid. Look at that gorgeous BLUE sky! We are cloudy and rainy here, all coming from the southern Prairies. Yuck!

Beautiful catch Ingrid.

Oh I can just about smell them! Our first ones should be out in about 2 weeks.

My Dwarf Koren Lilac finally bloomed. There's one bunch of flowers left on it. This was last weekend. Its still pretty young, I planted it mid-summer 2002. I didn't prune it last year, thinking it would give it more of a chance to grow, but I think there were more flowers on it last year. Oh well, live and learn.
