This is a bud on my dbl. white...it has had buds before but never this fat!!!

is the outer ring torn? looks almost like inside skirt is deforming the outside one.

isn't that th etruth. Without this entertainment, I would be so bored. I am waiting on a brug bloom too. All week it has been out of its calyx but it won't open. It was supposed to be a double pink, LOL, but I think it is ADW though. LOL

MIne finally opened the other day and is white. LOL. But she has lots of charm. I hope yours does too. It was so beautiful today you would think it would have. Nice and warm.

This is missy fatty this morning...not a pretty sight...
Enjoyed looking at all the pictures of PictureLady's brug from bud to opening! All of the pictures are so great. Mine was damaged in a wind storm as I wrote last week or so, but the half that didn't get broken as 5 skinny buds! I'm so excited, I check it constantly for more to show up. Who knows, maybe the wind did me a favor and I'll have a beauty blooming soon! I too have had trouble opening the web-site.....hope it doesn't continue, as I enjoy all of this. Oops! Forgot! We adopted a 7mo. old Lhaso-Poo from Pet's Mart on Sunday for our daughter who has MD....she is so excited over her new baby.
Margie, I think that might be identical triplets from the same bud. Maybe it will come on out so we can get a better look...
I am surprised it is not turning brown by now. It has really been out of the calyx for awhile. Don't you just want to pick at it? LOL. I have a huge urge to pull open that tendril there that is wrapped around the front.
Do you believe this rain Margie? How odd. I could not believe it when I woke up to the sound of rain during the night. I opened the window even more. I had the best sleep I have had in months. LOL
I am tempted to pull this bud off and apart as I am sure it is not going to do anymore on the plant. The last bloom on this one, when the inner shirt didn't drop, I opened it up and there was so much petal material that it couldn't possibly have gotten beyond where it was. I am sure it is true of this one also.
We have some gray clouds, but no rain...maybe later in the day they said, although the sun is coming out now. I would love it to rain....Glad you had a good nights sleep kell...I am sure you could use it. Good for you. We had a new window replaced over my bed...and now I can see the stars when I look out from my pillow...I love it and am sleeping so well, I think because of it...seeing nature and its wonders!

How about taking a little sharp blade and help it just a little. Not on Brugs but on other plants I've done that. Just a little bit of help may allow it to pop open.
