Does this one grow pretty quickly? My black magic just sits there all summer. Maybe I need to replace it with this one?

Badseed-Black Magic likes loooooooots of water and loooooooooots of fertilizer. I water mine 2x day but we have sandy soil. Also, forgot they like full sun. They do not get as dark if in partial shade.

bad seed you could also have jet black wonder... if it clumps it is jet black wonder but if it has stolons it is black magic. I was over at roz house and she told me her black magic didn't run and I started looking at it and it looked like the nots that were on oak tree roots and it was JBW. nurserys down here sell the JBW as black magic. There are three others that I know of that are black: black ruffle 7ft black giant and black magic mini
