I posted this in the Identification forum, but no replies yet. Maybe one of you good folks recognize this? I found it in a bag of salad mix that I bought at our local farmers market. It had roots on it so I stuck it in water where its been doing well all week. I'd like to know if [1] is it edible? (I'm assuming it is) and [2] will it grow if I plant it in my garden or would I even want to? Thanks for your knowledge!

ID please?
It reminds me of watercress (Rorippa nasturtium-aquaticum) Wouldn't swear to it, though ;o)
It could be, Terry. From all the pics I just looked at, the leaves on watercress seem to be smooth and shiny. These tiny little leaves are dull and a bit fuzzy. I'll just keep it in the water and see how it does.
Have you looked up cucumbers? Long shot and I have no clue about these but looks a lot like mine when it was younger.
