One of my sans is in a place where it gets whacked by my dogs'(2 labs) tails and I have a couple of broken leaves that I want to reroot. Is it better to cut the leaf into sections to root, or is it OK to use the whole leaf? Thanks!

Sanservia question
Hey Cindy,
Gotta love those labs! I don't think they ever get out of that "puppy" stage :).
You can root sans leaves in sections or the entire leaf. A general rule is the longer the leaf/section, the larger the plant will be. Cut the bottom ends off and sit the leaves or sections aside to dry for a week. BE SURE to know which ends were the bottoms if you do sections. You must plant these cut side down for rooting.
Plant in tiny pot(s), loose soil that is premoistened but do not water the first week. After that water once weekly. Keep in warm, bright location, but no direct sun. Be aware that this is a SLOW process.
Good luck!
Hey Sansman,
I knew I could count on you - Thanks!
