Dundee, OH(Zone 5b)

I have a kazillion seedlings of this and wondering if someone or anyone has a photo to share with me? Not sure if I should keep or share these babies at this point LOL Thanks!

Tellico Plains, TN(Zone 7b)

lol, your kazilloin seedlings will all be unlike one another as with all brug seeds.

No two will be the same.

Mind boggling, eh ?

I could suggest you buy lots of potting soil and gallon pots */:-)

BTDT !

oh pooh!!!! well that does it then, I just HAVE to keep them all to see for myself then huh? LOLOLOL

I will pot them up soon, some are about 6 inches tall already, I may even just pick a spot and plant them all outside now side by side somewhere, so far I have been lucky with my outdoor plantings, nothing is bothering them, even the ole rooster "fonzie" he is blind in one eye, so perhaps he just missed seeing my babies out there hahahah

Thanks for the info, I do appreciate it.

This is L'amour x Ecuador Pink. Smallish bloom, darkens to a dark peach. Doubt if I will keep it unless it changes into something better. It is'nt that special.

You never know though from one to the other seedling so do not be too quick. Some crosses I notice throw similar babies, but some throw totally different babies.

I have been very happy with my EP X L'A seedling. I personally would keep L'A X EP! Some do not like to use L'A because of her suav. genes, but I love her! When I first got L'A I was so very excited, I do not think I have felt that excited before in my life, at least not about a plant. I thought I had been given my weight in gold. Which is a lot of gold. LOL

GOOD LUCK!!! I hope you will share with us pics of your babies.

I have an L'A x EP seedling (Thanks, Kell!), planted seed 02/22/05, and put it in the ground about a month ago - it's a very nice seedling, huge, blue-like leaves and apparently slugs and cats hate her, nary a bite!! She is 3 feet tall, I forgot to measure how wide, with a thick trunk. I staked her but she really doesn't need it, she grows straight as an arrow. Kell is your (11:35am) pic this cross?? I don't have L'A, so I have big hopes for this seedling...

I thought maybe I could add my photo, which I obviously forgot, will do it now...

Here is the L'A x EP seedling, described above, that I forgot -

I love my L'amour too. It is one of my favorites. There is one thing I like about my seedling and that is the size. They are minature but I imagine that is a trait highly subject to chang as the plant matures.

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

LOL Loretta, yes it changes. Drastically! Good to see you visiting us !!

Sherry, my pic is of EP X L'A as I said. The reverse of yours, which is sure looking good. Good job!

SE Arky, United States(Zone 8a)

Well, shoot, lol, I should have known that an L'A x EP would thread would, in fact, really be a EP x L'A thread. I should have made the inclusion of the pic more clear. What I actually wanted to know is - might I expect my L'A x EP seedling to look like Loretta's?? The seedling received a less than good reviews and I have any number of very nice looking seedlings from the same cross (L'A x EP) - should I allow the slugs and cats have their way with them or withhold food and water and send them to brug heaven??

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

I would take care of them Sherry. You just never know what they might produce. There are likely going to be similarities, but there could be that one fabulous flower that will make the brug world step back and say OMG!!

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

L'A and EP both produce colored babies. I have a lot of this cross going both ways. I expect to get lots of pink ones from this cross going both ways and a few whites, if history is any guide. There are no guarentees Sherry, that is the fun of growing seeds.

SE Arky, United States(Zone 8a)

Thanks, Brugie!! Some of my seedlings are so nice that regardless of the reviews I intend to grow them out. I live in a totally different zone, so maybe this cross will put southeast Arky on the brug map!! Tell me, what about seedlings that are big, strong, fast growing, healthy, GREEN, that bugs avoid - tell me, do those of you that have grown lots of brugs - do these kinda seedlings turn out to be duds?? Also, I have 45 soon to be seedlings of one cross, I peeled them, every seed was good, and after a short time in rockwool, just about every seed promises to sprout - do 'terrific' seeds, such as mine, throw awful blossoms?? What are the odds of getting, not a brug to name, but nice brugs from crosses? I know that sometimes ya win, sometimes ya lose, but what are the odds, assuming your name isn't Kyle or Susie or Monika?? I really don't care because I'm in this for fun and if it isn't brugs, it will be some other plant or animal or fabric or collection...

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

LOL Sherry, I'll take those fast growing, health, bug free, etc. seedlings every time. I'm sure you are going to have some great looking babies when they bloom. Your chances of having gorgeous blooms are just as good as anyone. Some people get lucky, some don't. Just enjoy what you do.
