Can anyone tell me the signs on a young plant of overwatering? I have some droppy leaves and the pot is still moist. Others get too dry and droop. TIA Carol
Signs of overwatering?
If the rootball is wet and it is still drooping and the leaves have had enough time to drink up the water and stand up, I would pull it out of its pot and look at its roots. I have been known to keep the brug on its side outside, out of the pot with newspaper over the rootball to protect the fine feeder roots from the sun. It helps dry it out. If the roots look like mush, I would cut the sick roots off, prune the canopy to match the amount root pruned and hope for the best.
Which brug is it, Carol? Also, I understand some fungus will do that and an animal eating the roots can do the same. All of a sudden the plant wilts.
Good Luck!
Will have to check, Kell, on which plant it is.
Off to town today, will buy some candles ... part of the 'hoping for the best' ceremony!!
