WOW....what a beautiful variegated H. kerri. I was just saying in another thread how slow mine grows, but yours is enormous. Congratulations!
Did you move it from a different spot? Does it get much sun...or any? I am still trying to figure out what they like. I hesitate to get it in too bright a light, as I don't want to mess up the pretty color of the leaves or have them fade out like what happens to the variegated carnosas when you put them in sun.
It makes them bloom, but man...it sure makes their leaves go from lush looking to washed out, scared, and drab.

Dianne...awesome H. kerrii!!! You GROW!

Marcy, I grow everything under 50% shade, high humidity and water everyday. I use Elanores and superthrive.I was thinking about adding more shade cloth to increase more shade to see if it would make a difference but haven't gotten around to it yet.

I don't have any trees so it's full sun hitting the shadecloth. It was moved to this spot a year ago and has never been moved since.I find my all green ones grow slower than this one and my R.V kerrii.

Awanda and Carol I have been reading you guys post since way back when and I have learned a lot about growing these beautiful plants from you guys I am just happy I can show results from all the late night reading!!

Happy Growing!

50% shade, I should be ok then the sun is more intense where you live, plus I have two trees that shade from about 11:00 until 1:30. This is my first year with the 50% shade cloth and I just don't want to burn the leaves, I know it's fine for the other plants but it's the hoyas I'm concerned with.
I wonder if the bubble makes a difference, I have the air between the layers of green house plastic...?
