Hawaii Garden Pictures

Keaau, HI(Zone 11)

Here is a short tour on the new road...starting in the orchards where my greenhouse is separated from my new Brug Bed by a row of citrus and a row of coffee trees. We have 200 coffee trees and too much citrus for two large people!

This is the corner where you go right to the house pad we dozed - complete with citrus and coffee and other fruit trees. Straight ahead are 4 brugs (PC, GL, Arborea and ?) and along the left are brugs too.

The road starts to turn here...on the left brugs, and in that open space, Creamsickle, HG, 3 more and further down the road there are 5. Buutus var hariatus with Louise on the leash....

OK...This is just a few of the road....looking down the hill. There is Donna's Monster White right across from the Warsywicksia in bloom.

We call this Threeways...after a famous junction in the outback in Australia...the road only goes in 3 directions...up the hill we came from, to the left to the house or to the right out to the main entrance. Our intention is to plant this acreage and sell it when they are ready to shovel us off to the nursing home. It might pay for our first month!!! In the meantime, Bob calls it his "Park"...and he is busy collecting Palms and Bamboo to plant...

Here is Maya...she is back there. We keep the dead brush around to protect the young ones for a while. It is 8a.m. so not much overhead sun yet.

Here is a corner I redid 2 years ago...it was full of yello and white ginger...

OK...last one. This is a corner where I hang some of my hoyas. They manage to get away from me, and that three on the left has 3 growing up the tree.

What a gardening paradise. We need more pictures.

Keaau, HI(Zone 11)

OH, you sweet talking devils! You make me feel so good.... ;>) I love sharing our garden...kinda stuck out here "where the angels left their shoes"...serious gardeners know the love and caring that go into a place!!! Once the plants have recooped from the long drought, will send more...

DH is a dear man! He loves to come back and say "when I was planting XXXPalm I found you a new Brug hole". The plan on "the road" is to get the big things in to establish, and then do the fine tuning...I doubt the fine tuning will be anytime soon...we just love planting. My job to "Round Up".....

Aloha,

Carol

Oh to have a husband who loves to plant! LOL. And has the room to plant in!! I could really be so jealous of you, Carol. If I were 30 years younger, I would follow in your footsteps. I just loved Hawaii when I was there. I was so young, so in love, wore a string bikini and was sure I was going to move there to live happily ever after! Well, all these years later, I am still in love! LOL

Denver, CO(Zone 5b)

It all looks beautiful Carol!

Vancleave, MS(Zone 8b)

Carol what a wonderful place you have.

Livermore, CA(Zone 9a)

I'm with Kell, I wish my husband shared my love for gardening and too have all that space
to plant ................. You are one lucky lady Carol. And to have the climate on top of it.

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

And Patricia, you would have enough room you would not have to fight over what kind of plants to plant, you just plant them all!! LOL

Adrian, MI(Zone 5b)

Carol, your place is Brug Heaven!! Enjoy!! In my next life I want to live there!!
Bonnie

Marysville, WA(Zone 7a)

Beautiful place and photos. Can see where you have done a lot of work. Must be difficult to keep up with everything in that great climate. Thanks for sharing.

Zion, IL(Zone 5a)

sure growing a lot for having no dirt. must be that "high" humidity or something. :)

Angleton, TX(Zone 9a)

Beautiful place you have Carol. It appears that you and hubby are working hard but having lots of fun.

Keaau, HI(Zone 11)

Kell...do you still have the String Bikini?

Last week I went to the Beach...first time in 2 years!!!

Kannapolis, NC(Zone 7b)

Carol, Kell always has her bikini. LOL It's always been orange but don't be surprised if the next one isn't Pepto Pink. LOL
