I saw my 1st hummer today!!!!

i was sitting outside on my porch swing reading my book and heard this buzzzing sound that the hummers make and i was looking all around frantickly and I saw the little fellow land on my feeder.. I was so happy, he had this beautiful green on his back and the top of his head...dont know what kind he was but i really dont care i was just happy to see the little guy. I knew the nector was disappearing but i thought the heat was just evaporating it...Horray for my little ole hummers

There is one hummingbird that I keep startling, every time I open the back door---the little thing is all over my red meadow sage.

He always looks ticked off when I interrupt him. He'll hover for a second and glare at me before flying away.

Sounds typical :-) The have such an attitude most times LOL
