Wanted to show you what my DH got me for my Bday, it is sooooo pretty, the picture does not do it justice. The buds start out a peachy/apricot and turn pinker (is that a word? LOL) as they age. You can just see the edge of a bud at the top right of the picture. The prettiest of all my abutilons!

And I even have a flower that has 15 petals! Most have 5, so I guess this one bloom is a triple? LOL I looked high & low, but it is the only flower like that.
My kids got me a nice chaise lounge for the back yard, so you know when it gets hot, I will be under a tree taking a nap. :~)
It has been a blessed birthday.

Thanks Donna, it was hard in the beginning, but it is getting much easier now. Yes, I am really proud of myself, I did not think I had the willpower to stick with it.
And Julie, I seriously think you are exactly right about the low blood sugar. Besides my daughter, I know of 2 people that have felt crummy on this diet & had to quit & they both have LB.

Kell, I was out studying it this morning & something kept niggling my mind, so I went to my others and counted petals and they all have 4 to 5, but this one has 6, sometimes 7 or 8! So this must be a hybrid that is semi-double and the 15 petal bloom was a mutant. I am going to call the nursery at 9 and see if the guy can shed any light on it for me. I will post if I get any info.
Frosty Pink Brug opened yesterday, kind of a yellow/white, and this is how she looked when I went out this morning. I just LOVE it!
