Desperately seeking pink datura seed?
There are no pink datura(that I know of)
there is a lavender,and a purple....
I think datura has its own forum
you can check with them
are you looking for pink brugmansia?
if so...
there is no way of knowing what color the seeds will turn out
you can plant a whole pod of pink brug seeds and only one or 2 may be pink
you'd be better off trading for a pink cutting
I think the Datura forum is where I saw the pictures of the pink or blush datura. I have a pink brugmansia baby, rooted from a piece of thick branch that I would actually like to use for trade in a roundup situation. You're right, and I should have posted this in the Datura forum. Thanks for your help! ;-D
You're bad, Kaleem!
;) Donna
Check with KimGaither, she is groing out newly aquired seeds of Pink Blush datura.............
Thanks Gumlla! It's not nice to fool with a girl's head on her birthday! We old broads get cranky, you know! But, I'll take both the pink *and* blue datura, thank you!
;-D (just kidding!)
Thanks Rikerbear! I'll send her a D-Mail, though if she's the only one with these precious seeds, I get the feeling I'll be on the end of a very, very, very, very, etc... long list!
I could also send cuttings of everything from night blooming jasmine to michelia champaca...I want these seeds BAD! ;-D
We are all very anxious to see one of her seedlings bloom....just gotta see if it is indeed a 'blush pink'.
:-)
I think I read she said she ended up giving them all away.
Judy
Oh NO! Gotta email that girl :-(
Thanks Judy.................
Ohhhh I had to jump this thread...
Marc, My Dahlia is beautiful..Hasn't bloomed but it sure has pretty foliage!
Still no blooms on this Pink Datura...But with my luck...It's white :-/
Also I'm must really be serious about stashing! ha ha ha ha.
I just found 3 seeds labeled Pink Blush &
2 seeds labeled Raspberry Swirl.
Somebody wanted these raspberry swirl...ohhh nooo don't remember where I saw the post. But if you're out there. And you want 2 seeds...they're yours! LOL
Liila...The 3 seeds are yours if you want them..or you can wait and see what color this opens.
I have Daturas everywhere now. Not a clue what I planted...and time will definitely tell...LOL LOL
Kim, (gasp)
No sticky labels on the outside of the pots? For shame.... LOL! Plant tags get lost in the wind.. ;^(

Oh, I planted seeds of a Datura named 'Pink Lady', given in a private trade. I'll know by the end summer if they're pink.

Kim, Yes, I would *love* the datura seeds! What can I send you in return? What are you interested in? (Besides *everything* green and growing, like me?)
I don't have a digital camera that works on this machine, but will make sure to have photo's when they bloom.
It's the best birthday present a girl could have. ;-D
I am holding my breath for the pink blush to bloom Kim.....and I am so very glad your Dahlia is growing strong.
Keep us posted girl. :-)
Marc
