CLOSED: Suffolk County, Long Island, NY traders wanted

(Arlene) Southold, NY(Zone 7a)

Please contact me. I'm getting desperate for local people so I won't have the shipping expenses. Thanks. I live out on the North Fork, in Southold, not far from Port of Egypt.

Guilford, CT(Zone 7a)

I am in CT - the shipping would be a lot less & the enroute time is very good - Usually just a day or so. What are you looking for?

Julie,

I really hurt myself a lot, required hospitalization, from digging up a small portion of Japanese Irises for a trade. I'd like it if someone wanted something to just come and dig it up and take it home. Mainly some daylilies - not entire clumps but chunks. My DH has arthritis in his back and we were out today so I could get my late trades on their way but he had to do all the digging. It's just getting to be too much of a job. I know there have to be people who would like some of our daylilies.

Oh, I wish I could go & see my mom in Middle Island again. (wimper, sniff) I'd help ya out then!

I'm almost afraid to ask why you can't visit Middle Island again!

No moolha. Round trip is $150.00 by car--gas & tolls -- Country bus, city train & LIRR train is almost the same.

If Mom is so inclined to come out and dig maybe she can bring them up to you!!!

Where does she live? Wait... how old is your mom?

Robin: I meant if your mother wants to come out and dig and bring them up to you then it's fine with me. My mom is gone, the saddest day of my life.

My Mom is 75! ---LOL! -- If she dug anything it would've been the Big Band Era.

Yes, my friend down south calls it "puttering". I don't call turning compost piles, digging daylilies and hosta, planting tomatoes for the neighborhood, etc. "puttering".

And I'm his young bride of 14 years but I do have my AARP card.
