red rose-wild rose with rose hips

Milo, ME(Zone 4a)

I am digging up my canes to my red rose and I have several to trade
this is a red rose
I am looking for herbs, hostas and lilies

Albany, OR(Zone 8a)

What type of rose is it? Is it fragrant?
I have marjarom and sweet basil plants. I don't have much since I just started my yard brand new last year, but do have a few hostas. I may be digging it up this summer since I have a few plants to get around it since I had used that bed as a nurse(holding) bed and now the plants are way too big.
Let me know if you are interested in the herbs.
Thanks,
Carol

Milo, ME(Zone 4a)

carol would love the herbs are you offering the hostas too?thanks robin

Albany, OR(Zone 8a)

I won't be digging the hostas up until this late summer/early fall, I think. I need to figure out places for the wild out of control plants there in the raised bed.
I also have an oregano plant too, tho it isn't very big. I have 5 sweet basil plants and 2 marjarom plants.
Please let me know the answers to my question about the rose bush and if you are still interested.

I can send you a good size start of the unnamed hosta and a small start of a couple of named ones. Any I listed that you prefer? Any other perennials, bushes, shrubs to trade? I'll be digging hosta this weekend and can ship Monday barring problems :~)

Albany, OR(Zone 8a)

Okay, Robin,

Albany, OR(Zone 8a)

Robin,
All sent out this morning by priority mail. Should be there in 2 days.

I ended up finding a vegaragated hosta that I could get a good sample from for you.

I send you:
2-varagated hosta
5 - sweet basil
2 - marjarom
2- oregano- very small, but good roots
1-bright orange calundula
1-Sun Gold cherry tomatoe(they are very good eating, yellow-orange color)

I think that is it, can't remember what I packed in the box. Hope they arrive in good shape.
Later, Carol

Milo, ME(Zone 4a)

wow carol,I was not expecting all that,I havent sent the rose we had a lot of rain it is dug up and in water. So will ship tommorrow i heard we will have 70 degree weather,I will send you two bare roots of the rose -if you dont need them both you will have one for trade.unless yous ee something else i can send to you.Not many leaves will be on as it has rained lots and was dug up but once you plant you will see it take right off

Albany, OR(Zone 8a)

Robin,
Send me whatever you want. I am not picky. If I can't find a place for it, I give things to my good neighbor who is starting her yard now.
But what I sent you isn't any big deal. I would have liked to give you more but didn't know what you like. I have a bunch of seedlings that I am not sure where to put them in my yard so am trying to get rid of them. I have planted a lot of them already.
Will look forward to the rose bush. I know what you mean about the rain. I was out in the rain trying to clean off the roots of your plants in it. Then later this afternoon, it was hailing. So the weather isn't any better on this side of the US either.

Ick, wish it was 70 here. Going to be 90 again tomorrow! Have got to get out there early to get things done because I can hardly breathe. Wish the temps would get back to normal in the upper 70's low 80's this time of year.

Robin, your package is packed and ready to go out in the morning but I need your house number, it's not included in your address in the address exchange. Need ASAP. Thanks, Lana

Albany, OR(Zone 8a)

Wvdaisy,
I hope my package gets there. There wasn't any house # so I just put Elm street.
Hope it is a small town and everyone knows each other.
Gulp!
Carol

Buffalo, WV(Zone 7a)

I'll keep my fingers crossed for you, Carol. :~) I'm used to living in small towns where a package would get to me without a box number.

Robin,
Will they still deliver it to you with just "Elm"?
Hope so.
Should be today or tom.

You know, I was out planting more yesterday and found a plant that I was going to send you. I had gone to Farmers Market last weekend and they had a very nice varigated sage. I was going to pinch the top off for me and send it to you. I was pretty mad at myself! I had bought it just for you! So maybe later, huh?
