Shot of the archway to the herb bed from the yard. Arbor has evergreen wisteria on it. Bicolor irises on either side of the fountain.

Very nice! What zone are you in? Is your evergreen wisteria truly evergreen?

I fixed my profile. I am in Houston/Spring, actually.

It is evergreen and has small dark purple blossoms... not lush as the other more familiar wisteria.

The foliage is definitely lush!

Wisteria (Millettia reticulata)
Check out the blossoms. it is a little early for them as yet

Your patio and garden is pretty. Your doggie is pretty too.

Love your dog! Your garden is so pretty and cool looking (it's the lushness of the foliage, I know the temps say otherwise). I have a bi-color iris that just won't bloom. Suspect it wants out of the container, but I don't have room for it where the light is good. Glad to see someone close to my area posting here!

Spring, TX(Zone 9b)

maggiemoo, I am on the houston list too. don't post that often. I have several bicolor that are just useless. finally moved them where they could just be "green" I don't understand it!

Conroe, TX(Zone 9a)

(sigh!)
Everywhere I go I see bi-color irises in bloom. I went for a walk a little earlier with my son and his girlfriend, along the waterway in The Woodlands. There are some very pretty plantings along there, including hedges of bi-color iris.... in bloom.

Spring, TX(Zone 9b)

well we all know the Woodlands is "perfect".. we moved some of my "non producers and put in a but of Pavonia and some heartleaf hibiscus... which is not catogorized correctly either on the little stick or on Daves list. Also some pink and lavender penta and some osypetalum caeruleum "heaven borne" blue.. ad Coral nymph salvia.

Darling plants.. maybe we can hook up and go to Arbor gate in Tomball.

Conroe, TX(Zone 9a)

Oh I'd love that! Have you been there before? I have to give them the credit for keeping me gardening in those early times. I knew less than nothing, and they held my hand all the way through (they still do when I need them to.)

Spring, TX(Zone 9b)

that's where the chicken poo comes from! :o)

Lets do that!.. I'll take a long lunch and we can hit Chili's for a salad and then scoot to the 'gate!

Conroe, TX(Zone 9a)

Ahhh, yesss, Ag Org. I don't feel like I'm really in the garden unless I smell the chicken poo. Good stuff!

Do you work? Do you want to go on a weekday? Saturday? Sunday?

I have to travel usually once a week for my job, and I always schedule the return route through Tomball, but it's always a little iffy as to exactly when I'm going through. I'll be out that way this coming Thursday, but most likely not until around 3:30 or so. This weekend I'm headed to Brenham to visit my mom. (Darn the bad luck, I'll just have to go to the Rose Emporium, I guess!) I shou7ld be free the next weekend.

Spring, TX(Zone 9b)

Yes I do unfortunately work... outside my garden... Sometimes I am very flexible and sometimes I never leave my desk. email me at my private email and we can try to hook up, tho. Would love to meet you!
