Shirley if you still have it, I have a Globemaster that has split into two Stalks, so there should be 2 bulbs down there. I adore the white lilac!

(Zone 7a)

Shirley, my large, pale purple alliums (I think they were called Galaxy) have multiplied, so when they die back I will definitely have 3 bulbs to swap with you for 1 white lilac. Let me know if the trade is still on.
Thanks, Karen

Hi karen LMK when you are ready Shirley

(Zone 7a)

Thanks, Shirley. It might be middle of June or early July. I had a neighbor who grew white lilacs, and she has since passed away and her house along with everything else was bulldozed. Her niece (now my next door neighbor, beyond the vacant lot) wants a white lilac in memory of her aunt, and cannot spend the money for one herself, hence this trade. It will be appreciated more than I can convey.

Hi Shirley: This past winter I ordered an entire collection of aliums from Brecks. They grew fine but I just didn't like them in my garden. I thought the foliage wasn't pretty and made my garden look messy. I will gladly go dig them all up and send them off to you for postage. There are about 4 of the giant pinkish purple ones (drumstick aliums) and some smaller dark purple ones (cant remember the variety) and some white ones (could be a weed!), and yellow (sunny twinkles), and pink (alium roseum). Only the drumstick alliums were really huge though. If you go to Brecks website they have photos. http://brecks.com/category.asp_Q_c_E_1_A_Alliums_E_

How very generous of you thripmaster. Please let me know how much postage and I will get it out immediatly. I appreciate all of you so much helping me with my garden Blessings to all of you Shirley

Is your address in the exchange?

Monroe, NC(Zone 7b)

Well, I dug up as many alliums as I could find. It is warm here an all mine have already bloomed so I had a hard time separating them by variety because most no longer had a flower. So, you will get a bag of sunny twinkles, one of allium roseum, and one that is a bunch of mixed bulbs that I don't know what variety. The good news though is that most had babies and there are tons of bulblets in there. Maybe just to be sure that you get the really big ones that you are looking for, you should also trade with some of the others that know exactly what their alliums are. These are in the mail today. I'll drop you a note with the postage amount when I get back from the post office. Do you have paypal?

Robin

markleysburg, PA(Zone 5a)

Hi robin My daughter Melanie Maxson has a paypal account and sends for me when I need it. I appreciate so much your sharing with me so generously. Hope your garden does well for you also. A lot of mine is just now surfacing. Along with the grass. Thanks again and LMK the amount and where to send Blessings Shirley

(Zone 7a)

Hi Shirley, 3 bulbs of (I think) Allium 'Galaxy' - 4' tall, large light purple flowers - finished dying back after bloom, so I mailed them to you today. Do you still have a white lilac for my friend? Am emailing this to you on DG, in case you miss this thread. Thanks for initiating this trade, Karen

PS - For future reference, when my first bulbs split into smaller bulbs, I left them alone and all of them eventually reached blooming size without my lifting and dividing them.
