These two look nice together. I have a lot of work to do to unwrap the rangoon creeper vines from around everything. It's an easy and rewarding tropical.
Rangoon Creeper
That is beautiful, Nightbloomer! No problems with it being invasive?
Absolutely Fabulous, Susan! What a beautiful combo!

MaryEv, no it's not invasive. It's just real darn happy. I goes dormant in the winter but when spring rolls around, watch out! Quisqualis has spread all along my back fence and the tendrils just keep reaching out to anything close. I untwine it and tuck it back under itself.
I don't know why it always happens this way but my neighbor called us to look at the back of the fence. It's a mass of blooms.

Beautiful. I've killed three of these. I think I over watered.
That's a beauty!

What do you have your growing on? I recently planted my first Rangoon Creaper and so far it looks pretty healthy. It is still on the small side and is just starting to get some buds. Soon I will have to provide something for it to climb on and I'm not sure what would be best. It is planted next to a white stucco wall.
sharon, we just used lengths of fishing line tacked to the fence. Once it can reach anything to grab hold of it will start climbing. I wish I had used a sheet of latice. That works good if you place a few blocks of wood between the fence or wall and the trellis to give a little space between.
Thats beautiful!
Ditto!
NightBloomer,
Thanks! I've used fishing line for other vines but wasn't sure if it was strong enough for Rangoon Creeper. My blooms should be open in another day or two. Do the flowers last long?
