Hi all. Any of you lucky enough to have access to sprouting coconuts? Was just in Mexico and they were laying all over the jungle. I was so tempted to try getting a sprouted one back in my luggage but had nightmares of being held up by the dept. of agriculture at the airport. lol. Ok, if anyone can send me one I will pay whatever postage it takes. I only want one with a sprout. Thanks.
Sprouting Coconut wanted
Out here in California you can always find them at Home Depots or OSHs... however, keep the receipt as they will surely die on you, usually within a year (unless you live in S Florida, Hawaii or have a greenhouse)
which I do have - a greenhouse that is, that is why I am looking for one. They dont sell coconut palms around here since they wont survive the winters but with a commercial greenhouse I dont much care about the winters - mild as they are here in MS. Sooooo - again, any of you lucky enough to live in a area that you can put your hands on these - I would gladly pay for the cost of the nut and postage.
