New hoya bloom!!!!

Mesa, AZ(Zone 9a)

Ok after my last post, I think I'm just going to use a generic heading:-). THIS hoya has bloomed and has a fairly strong smell to it (nice). Instead of giving it a name, I'll just take guesses:-). It's actually full of flowas.

Blessings,
Awanda

P.S. I THINK it's Shepherdii (sp)

It looks like H. shepherdii to me. ;>)

Yes, I would guess H. shepherdii too. If so, I think that is one of the most wonderful scents, and they seem to bloom in great abundance. I have several big plants of them for that very reason. I hang them outside my bedroom and kitchen windows when they are in bloom and enjoy the olfactory delights every evening wafting in for me. They seem to be a fairly carefree and easy plant to care for also. At first I wasn't too crazy about the look of them, as they seem to just go everywhere at once and look so wild or something, (I much more prefer the organized smooth look of H. kentiana), but after the first season of having big full plants blooming near my nose....I LOVE them, and have even grown to like their wild and crazy habits (like me having a bad hair day).
