Dahlia Tubers from the US?

Someone in the states wants to send me some tubers of her Dahlia's. Is it ok? I don't know if you can send things like that across the boarder.

Another thing, I'm not sure about is Fertilizer. Parks Seed has a fertilizer I'd like to try and I don't know what the rule is about sending that either. Somebody told me that they thought it was ok as long as it was in the original container and clearly marked.

Does anyone know?

Your dahlias will be confiscated quite prpbably by Canada Customs. You'll just get a little letter saying something was destroyued or returned to sender. However, in spite of that, Paradise (Ingrid) seems to have remarkable luck with receiving plant maerials from US of A. Think you had better ask her.

The weather here is beginning to get on my nerves.

The water from all the rain has pretty much wipped out my garden. I'll have to start over.

All that work during the winter of starting plants from seed have washed away. I had 45 tomato plants, 30 Bell Pepper plants, 14 different kinds of lettuce planted, and 3 different spinaches planted. All gone.

The only thing I can think of to do is "start over" and hope for the best.
