Treasures

Winnipeg,, MB(Zone 3a)

Tonight I picked up a lot of free houseplants,
I received 2 orchids, snake plant, hibiscus,
grape ivy, cacti,and many more,
some of these plants are so large that I will have to repot,
and as an extra bonus some garden junk treasures

Castlegar, BC(Zone 6b)

Treasures, to be sure, Wilma. How did you swing that? Some remarkable plants and garden junk and free yet. WTG!

yes I was very lucky, spent all day repotting and dividing the plants,
which I will share with a few of my garden friends,,
will have to post pictures of my treasures when I get them all together.. washed and cleaned up.
even got a push mower which I had been wanting for a long time..

Good for you Wilma. Looking forward to your photos. :)

Shannon will be jealous of your push lawnmower, as I know she has been looking for one too.

Have to add that came home from a lily Soc. meeting last night to find 2 big rolls of wire in back yard. Total bliss. Now I can replace my !@#$ chicken wire that I have running on one side of city lot to keep debris from rubbish bins blowing onto/into my garden.

Thank you Wilma. What a great surprise. Old fashioned, unable to be purchased as no longer made wire that matches fence across front of house.

Garden fairies often leave little pots of whatever by my front door but have NEVEER had rolls of wire delivered.

Hope I can payback in lilies and iris. Martagons excluded however.

Definitely did get great treasures, Wilma. I had seen the post when I got back from the cottage. Never heard from her so I knew I had missed her.

great push mowers available at Lee Valley. not quite as good as the Gardena brand but can no longer find a supplier for the Gardena mowers in our part of the world
definitely the ONLY way to cut a lawn (if you live with an almost 90 year lady of english derivation) cut twice mind you at angles and edges done EVERY time

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 2b)

Yep. E-W one week. Then N-S and next week crossways and the 4th week crossways the other way, then you start all over. Reminds me of my daling departed Gran.
