Hello Kim:
I just took cuttings of my akebia and have them in water now. Could you tell me the conditions in which you kept your cuttings to root?

Thanks

Kim, I really would love the cuttings. I will look and see if I have anything you may want. Thanks, Kin

I stuck them in rooting hormone and put them in a pot of soil. I then forgot about them and placed them under the porch last fall. They survived the winter in a small pot, and now are growing vines...LOL Hope this helps!

I would definitely use rooting powder and moist soil. Don't try to root them in water.
