This is a 2nd yr seedling that was hybridized by Calalily(Susie French). It has a deep rose pink color.
Dr.Seuss x Butterfly
That is too neat you got a pink form that Susie cross. And look at those tendrils on that chick. Beautiful Larry!
Hey, Larry, where ya been?? That's a beauty. Is this the first time it has bloomed? Give us updates as it ages.
How is the fragrance Larry?
Beautiful blooms, Larry.
Very nice, long tendrils.
This is the 2nd yr blooming. Last yr it was not this dark. I forgot to smell it.
Lovely! You forgot to smell it? Go outside, take a whiff & please let us know.
It smells like a BRUG !!!!!!!!!! LOL. It has a pleasing smell, not over powering.
Isn't this fun Larry......I also have some seedlings of Susie's that I am waiting on the second year blooms this year. I took cuttings that I over wintered because I didn't want to keep many large ones like I have done in the past and it will take me a little longer to get blooms.
That Susie is just a giving machine. I also have several from her. Thanks Susie.
Looks very promising Larry. Congrats. Glad to see you posting.
Glad to see you posting too, DonnaB. How 'ya doin??
Wow, pink is the last color I would have expected from that cross! I was hoping the yellow in Butterfly's background would carry over! It's nice.
I'm glad to see this Larry/Susie. Bonnie jean is a Seuss/Butterfly baby, but being so very pink and ruffled, I've been secretly wondering if I'd mixed up the pods! Seeing this one so lovely, with long tendrils and a hint of a ruffle eases my mind considerably!
Seuss/Hetty, being a wild form, must have some nice pink genes tucked away in there somewhere that we didn't know about..
Very pretty.
Larry & Kristi she is gorgeous, congrats to the both of you. What a wonderful cross!
Hugs
Julie
