Question about Bert

RICHMOND, VA(Zone 7b)

I have a seedling of Bert/Everlasting, that has the biggest leaves I've seen - larger than my young Pink Beauty plants, and they appear to have been cut out with pinking shears.
This is my first experience with Bert, but the plant is shrubby like EV, so I would like to know more about Bert.

gosh never heard of a Bert either.. nice..

Polly, I have several with huge leaves this year. I do not have Bert but my PB leaves are bigger this year too and I have a cutting with giant leaves and any number of 2-22-05 seedlings with huge leaves. This is only my second growing season, do you think it's the year of giant leaves???

Bert has big velvety leaves. He looks like he is mostly Aurea.

As I am trying to reduce my number of plants, Bert is one I would LOVE to have. Does anyone know where a cutting can be purchased?

SE Arky, United States(Zone 8a)

I'm interested in a cutting also and intended to ask the same question. Great minds, huh...

Yeah
I'm bertless

RICHMOND, VA(Zone 7b)

Julie, I couldn't get to your hyperlink, but Liz' picture shows me that my plant looks like its daddy. (The parentage is Eventide and Bert - will I ever get the two straight!!!)
I'll be happy to share later on when he's a big boy - the bloom should be lovely.
Just leave your requests in my mail box.

Bert is a beauty. I somehow managed to kill a wonderful plant that was sent to me last fall and feel sick about it, otherwise I would gladly have shared some cuttings this fall.

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

Frannie, was Bleu up there at your house and stepped on your plant?

Angleton, TX(Zone 9a)

Susie, I cannot blame this on Bleu! I don't even have a dog that I could blame it on......lol
