Welcome to Dave's aj_greenhumb, from Blyth (near Goderich)! I just moved from London a little over seven months ago. London was home to me for most of my life. I hope you find us here in Canadian Gardening soon. Stop on by and let us know what your gardening interests are. --Ginny
Welcome to aj_greenhumb from London ON
Hi aj_greenhumb, nice to hear we have another new Canadian member. Although, I believe there may be a conspiracy in the works to have Ontario take over DG's...LOL I hope you stop in for chat and tell us what you have growing in your garden.

edited to say - Oops, Shouldn't presume greenthumb, when it is really greenhumb.

Welcome to Dave's aj_greenthumb. You'll have a great time .
actually, I have evolved into greenthumb as my need for speed and spell check can make interesting if not plain humb.. dumb mistakes.. no prob, dave has stepped in and corrected my mistyping.. aj_greenthumb! is here..
never fear oldflowergirl I may be moving from the 40c (104F) nightmare that is sw ont and going west.. hitched through BC in my innocent youth and always have wanted to return...
this is such a kewl site.. I am hoping to participate muchly.. (i make up words as u can see)
'in any case... thanks for the great welcome and remember, "A garden is the best alternative therapy"
aj
PS: I tweak my pix from time to time to get interesting effects.. see if you like or not.. this one I have on my desktop as it is akin to peering in to a black hole.. great way to center ones self..
Gee that's "kewl" too, aj. Gorgeous color. Just a warning if you are planning on heading "out west" to BC (the southern Interior anyway). If you come anytime from now until the end of Sept, you may be stepping right back into 35+ degree temperatures. The good news is that it's without humidity. If you do come make sure you visit the West Kootenays and look me up. I'd love to meet you show off my garden. :Donna
Gorgeous pic aj......sooooooooo glad to see you too have a digi! :D Ü :D
i am an apt dweller so i am limited only by space, this year i have not grown anything on my veranda because of job catalogiung plants.. (i dohowever have friends with gardens and wither use the gardening implemnts i carry in my trunk to help out or get to picture their flowers i.e my doctor's rose garden) you know the adage of not taking your work home.. it is true.. though i have set a goal for myself and if i achieve it i will be getting my plants this weekend.. as i have discovered gazillions (ok hundreds) of new plants (to me) i am going to try all sorts and if possible leave a teeny space for a chair on my 10 x 6' balcony.. so i will let you know.. inside some of my house plants are 20 years or more old.. the reaction i get is a "oh my gawd" at the size of my Peace Lily and Philodendron cordatum (Heartleaf philodendron) and Nephthytis (Butterfly vine) .. have forgotton how many cuttings from the last two have been given.. ttyl
I have to get back to work..
I have attached an untouched rose that was in my doctors garden (my mother swears she can see the praying hands in the pix, i think she should share her meds with me.. :)
aj
LOL, well I can't see the hands either, but it is a beautiful photo.
