This project took about a week (with several hours dedicated to it each day.) The bed faces our neighbor's house (in fact, my arbor visually lines up with their sidewalk) and the neighbors' property is frequently visited by photographers using it as a setting for graduation, childrens' and/or bridal photography.
Sooooo, it wasn't very neighborly to let this bed become such an eyesore, but we did...
