Dianne,
Tell me about this crushed coral thing?? where do u get it from, how much to mix...etc...

WOW, Dianne...that is awesome!

I am going to suggest that perhaps your mix/water/combination is lacking something the Crushed Coral is giving it...i.e. calcium in a readily available form. For those with very alkaline soil or lots of calcium in the water or the mix, it might not be a good idea. But...since I lack it in my soil...I am going to give it a try!!!

Very impressive.

What gave you the idea to try it with plants other than eriostemmas?

Carol after I had repotted my ruthie's and started potting up my six inch plants I was wondering what would be the harm? I figured that when you repot they go threw this phase of no growth because of potting up so I kept watching them and low and behold new growth, they never stopped! Last year every now and then I lost a new leaf with my archie. This year after adding crushed coral the leaves are huge.I would have never thought of this crushed coral on my own so I thank you for starting the very first topic on this.

Happy Growing!
