CLOSED: Seeking Japanese Maple...unordinary trade....

Lubbock, TX(Zone 7a)

..at least I haven't seen this one yet. I want a small Japanese Maple, almost any variety . All I have to trade is flea control for cats, either Revolution or Advantage. I have not yet traded so if someone is interested, please be patient.

If I cannot trade for a Japanese Maple make me an offer. I don't have many packs of products, but I really want a maple.

What do you mean by small?? I resuced a seedling recently and I can get a pic tomorrow-- but I am guessing you want something a little bigger than what I have.. What else are you looking for-- my cat really needs some flea conrol-- he runs out so frequently.

I should have been a bit more specific. At least 16 inches is what I'm thinking.

I would like to see if anyone has what I'm wanting first. My garden is pretty full for May, but some drought resistant perennials for 7a or clematis would be my next wishes.

Sunshine, I have one that is about 2ft. Just beginning to branch. Do you have Frontline or something else?

Bluegrass....
I only have Revolution and Advantage. These are samples from the reps of their perspective companies. Merial, the make of Frontline Plus will not give a single sample.

Edited to say I also have Capstar for less than 25#

I have new first year babies to offer - they are a red maple, supposedly a dwarf. The Mama tree is over 20 feet tall, but it is now at least 20 years old. I can send them for postage if you do not want to trade for flea items... I had several hundred of these, & most have been given away at this point. I have a pot full of them left. Let me know if you would like a few!

Guess you wouldn't be interested in two inches. Well, it's here if you need it. No charge.

I have never seen so many babies as I did this Spring - it must have been a great year for Maples! I scrambled to dig up every one, & the total was over 120 babies. I have no idea why the excess, but they sure are cute!

Julie, did they come up with roots? Or did you have to use a root stimulator hormone and get them to root like that? How Neat is this, Cool!

They were all growing in the yard, around the Mama tree. I had to be careful when I pulled them out of the soil, as they had just a small tap root at that stage. By now they have a little more root sytem to help them grow. I never sowed them purposely - they just pop up in the yard! I couldn't bear to see them get plowed over by the lawn mower, so I potted up as many as I found. So far, about 30 seedlings went to my niece's school for the kids to bring home, & about 40 went to my sister's coworkers. I think they are adorable!
