Szechuanica is... well, interesting, but sino purpurea is a beauty! You must have quite a primrosery in your garden.

Interesting is a good word!! I know it's not going to be to everyone's taste but it is unusual and that's what grabs my attention in any plant. I do love primulas and find I am unable to resist many of them. I bought this one too and it is very sweetly scented. It's yargonogensis.

I was laughing the other day, that P. yuparensis that I planted last year bloomed for the first time, so I stuck my nose down to its sweet little blooms, and to me they smell faintly of urine.

I'm glad I picked yargongensis then!

They are all wonderful but I don't believe I can get them here in Baltimore. Maybe a catalogue? Thanks for the pictures.

The nurseries both have websites - look for www.edromnurseries.co.uk and lambertonnursery.co.uk
