Is this a Painted Lady Larvae?

I found this yesterday, it looks somewhat like a painted lady, but I am not too sure. . http://www.javajane.co.uk/Hairy/slides/american_painted_lady2.html

Yes, I think it is an American Painted Lady caterpillar Vanessa virginiensis. It is not the commoner Painted Lady Vanessa cardui

thank you kennedyh.

Sorry, kennedye, but that isn't a painted lady. I have raised hundreds of painted lady butterflies from egg to butterfly over a ten year period when I was teaching school. The caterpillar of the painted lady has no yellow color and no bristles like that one. I have no idea what it could be, but it is a handsome fellow.

It appears to be a Daggermoth.
