Ohhhhhhhhhhhhh... the first pond casualty

I scooped out a dead bird yesterday. It's just a small pond but no shallow ledges for a bird to gain purchase apparently.

I've decided to get a small round planter and fill it with pea gravel and then add water nearby for the birds.

so sorry sheila but you still may have birdie fatalities if you dont add something for them to get on. Maybe some kind of island in the middle or something similar :)
