Well, where to start...

Our vet failed to discover that our state premium Hanoverian Mare Econda had two foals and this morning at 4am she gave birth to both....stillborn. The larger of the two was a filly and the smaller, less developed one was a colt. She was bred to the 2002 World Cup Champion and we're all a bit saddened here today. Although one looks forward to every new foal, this one was a rather special breeding where there were folks from all over that were awaiting the birth. One takes their lumps in this business.
