How to fix this?

I know most experts will tell me to pitch this but I don't have that many brugs yet, every one is special.

It looks like the top part has died and is branching off from that. Do I cut the dead top off?

I would cut the dead part off. Just don't cut into the live green part of the stem.

I am no expert, so maybe that is why I would tell you to do what Kin said. It should be fine. I get die back esp. in winter. I never cut it off in winter for it would be an entry for fungus in the wet conditions of winter. But in spring I do cut it back to healthy, live growth. If I have cut into the healthy wood, I sprinkle a rooting powder on it for it contains a fungicide in it.. I say fertilize , fertilize, fertilize. LOL

I'm sorry We seem to have a problem here and or the weather is bad causing some glitches. It could be me also...LOL I didn't finnish up but I see Kell our expert filled in and said just what I was about to say....LOL thanks Kell....

If I am your expert Kin, you are in trouble. LOL. Luckily, brugs are so user friendly, you do not need to be an expert, just a gardener.

LOL...
I think your right. I also think many of us have learned from some good old trial and error. Some times I learn and as I get older I forget what I learn.. LOL

So true. Or I am not able to learn at all. LOL. Mind freeze.

Well the storm is moving in and best get off here. We are supposed to get a good one tonight. One thing I have learned it's best to get offline and turn off the puter once this happens...LOL

Best of Luck to you CaptMicha. Hope you have plenty of Blooms this summer.

I'm looking forward to them!

Tomorrow that brug is going to be a little shorter. I'm going to sprinkle some cinnamon on it, b/c I'm out of rooting hormone w/ fungicide.

Thanx guys! I hope you fair well with that storm... I bet your brugs will love that water!
