Calla Lilly question

Wichita, KS

Every year when my calla lilly emerges it has these transparent spots on the leaves. Is this a pest or is it just the way the leaves are. If it's a pest I'd like to nip it in the bud now before it gets worse.
I can send a photo if needed. It just seems strange to me that the leaves would look like that.

Rosebath, I wondered about that too when I started some a few years ago. I think there are certain species of calla lilies that have leaves like that, and then there are the others that are just plain green. Mine flowered and did fine, so yours probably will too!!

I only have two callas at the moment and one "Pink Persuasion" has the spots on the leaves. I love how it adds more interest to the leaves before the flowers come.

Some callas have white spots, but otherwise there is a known disease if tubers started in too cool soil which can create leaf spotting.
