I agree.

Lakeland, FL

can anyone tell me if the the Tom Pouce lily grows well in central Florida?I think I'm in zone 9a
Also would anyone like to trade any of the Tom Puce lilies for anything I have? I have pink and white lillipop lilies. Dwarf Mexican petuna plants in pink, purple and white. Purple orchid tree seeds.
Fuschia four o'clock seeds.
Red and also the purplish red Hawaiian t-plants and night blooming jasmine and a few red pine cone ginger plants that are 1 1/2- to over 2 foot tall. Might cost me a bit to ship those priority though.
I also have 12" and up of cuttings from my night blooming jasmine shrubs
Thanks, Cheryl

If lollypop lily grow fine where you are, tom pouce should grow well, too.

Gindee, it is a very handsome specimen you got there, and a beautiful picture. Great job.

I you don't mind me asking, which source did you get your lilies from? Some of the other Tom Pounces weren't as light or ruffled as yours. I'd want to get ones that look like yours.

Thanks everyone for your nice comments. I love this lily! CaptMicha, I think I got these at Wallyworld in a bag of 10 mixed bulbs for 7.95 or something like that. It was a big surprise that these turned out to be as nice as they were because I got them so cheaply.

Sorry, but that's not 'Tom Pouce'. The real one does not have ruffles or spots.

I like yours but I don't know what it is. The big box stores and WallyWorld are notorious for selling misidentified bulbs.

Yeah, I was going to say if that is Tom Pounce, how come mine looks so crappy? That is way nicer then Tom Pounce. I'd love to know what that is! By the way, 4 out of 5 of my Tom Pounce lilies came back in zone 3b.

I wrote down all the cultivars and varieties that I left at wallyworld and if this is what the wallyworld Tom Pounce looks like and for the price.. I'm buying!! Thanks for sharing !! :)

Maybe it should be called "Wallyworld Tom Pounce"!!!!

I just learned something about color in plants and thought this would be that perfect place to post.. Color in plants is made up of protein. Protein gets damaged by sun and thus some gardeners having a more washed out appearance in certain colors plants. Full hot sun as opposed to a milder climate might result in colors that aren't as bright.

I love this plant!!

:)
